Stock Market Analysis Aug 26 2016

With Janet Yellen's speech coming up later today, market players are awaiting what the speech will reveal and how it will affect stocks, currencies and almost everything. No wonder the Fed chair is considered one of the most powerful person in the world of finance. Having said that, the S&P 500 is at a decision point where a breakdown will signal weakness and may start a short term downtrend if it breaks below support. Long term, the markets are still in a weekly bull market.

For past analysis, please go to Daily Stock Market Analysis 2016. As you go through each day's analysis, you will begin to see how a financial analyst who uses technical analysis analyze the stock market. For longer term view, please read Intermarket Analysis By Stephen Loke.

Some of you might be wondering why I post these stuff everyday. Well, I can just give you the answer that Mark Zuckerberg said sometime ago. It goes something like this "People just don't understand that some of us just like to build things." Can't remember the exact quote but what he was saying is he did what he did because it was something that he enjoyed. I love writing down my thinking and opinions about the stock market. And everyday there are people who read my stuff and I hope you guys find this beneficial.
I did put in some Google Ads to cover the cost of this website and earn me some small revenue in the future. But as the traffic to this site grows I guess it is like what insurance premiums are to Warrren Buffett. They are "rocket fuel" to his business. And I believe that someday the revenue from Google Ads here might be some rocket fuel to me. Which I will plow back into my trading account for more firepower. : )

Another great thing I'm happy is one of my friends Toni Hansen is getting better from a Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak and she told me she's getting started back in trading this fall. So happy for her. When I started learning about all these stuff, I happen to drop onto her website. Some women are better technical analyst than men. I'm sure you have heard of people like Linda Bradford Raschke.

Let's take a look at what the charts are telling us.

I'll let the charts speak for itself today.

With Janet Yellen's speech coming out today, I'm not gona be smart and try to predict where it goes. We shall act accordingly after the speech is announced. Have a great day!
